Each Project can have one or more Submission Types and each Submission Type can have multiple Submissions.
Submission Types are managed from the Submission Types screen which is available from the Settings Dashboard.
Each Submission Type has the following properties
|Name||A name for the Submission Type that is unique within the project. The name can only contain AlphaNumeric characters and cannot have any whitespace.|
|Singular Label||The label used to describe a single Submission of this Submission Type|
|Plural Label||The label used to describe a set of Submissions of this Submission Type|
|Data Definition||The key that identifies the Data Definition used by Submissions of this Submission Type|
|Workflow||The key that identifies the Workflow used by Submissions of this Submission Type|
The Data Definition is not part of the Submission Type but instead the Submission Type references the Data Definition to be used. The same Data Definition can be used by more than one Submission Type.
Each Submission Type can have a number of settings controlled through the settings screen@
The settings control how submission of this Submission Type behave.
|Abstract Book Enabled||Allow an abstract book to be downloaded and a publishing preview to be available.|
|Affiliations Enabled||Allow submission contributors to be affiliated with institutions, universities etc for the specified type of contributor|
|Confirm Submitter Add Submission||Prompt submitters to confirm adding a submission when they already have incomplete ones.|
|Allow Submitters to Add Submissions||Allow submitters to add new submissions.|
|Allow Submitters to Edit Submissions||Allow submitters to edit their submissions.|
|Allow Submitters to See Submission Status||Allow submitters to see the status of their submissions.|
|Auto Hide Author Affiliation Panel||Automatically hide the entire authors/contributors panel if they are not allowed to be viewed (e.g. if blind settings are turned on)|
|Number Affiliations Per Contributor||The minimum and maximum number of allowed affiliations per contributor for the specified type of contributor. If no maximum set, then there is no maximum number|
|Number Contributors Per Submission||The minimum and maximum number of allowed contributors per submissoin for the specified type of contributor. If no maximum set, then there is no maximum number|
|Number Lead Presenters Per Submission||The minimum and maximum number of allowed lead presenters per submission for the specified type of contributor. If no maximum set, then there is no maximum number|
|Number Presenters Per Submission||The minimum and maximum number of allowed presenters per submission for the specified type of contributor. If no maximum set, then there is no maximum number.|
|Maximum Number Submissions Per Submitter||The maximum number of allowed submissions per submitter.|
|Maximum Number Submissions Per Presenter||The maximum number of allowed submissions per presenter.|
|Show In Grid||Show the submissions in a grid in the MySubmissions screen instead of tiles|
|Display Validated Content From Matching Submissions||See Submission Type Validated Content|
A project could have a Submission Type for normal submissions and a Submission Type for Symposia Submissions. Each Submission Type could have its own workflow and its own Data Definition. In this way it is possible for normal submissions to store different data and follow a different workflow to Symposia submissions.
