Some columns can be edited inside a grid without having to leave the screen.
Any column with a pencil icon at the top can be turned into edit mode and the contents then edited.
For example, this Markup Grid has a column called Admin Code which can be edited by clicking on the pencil icon at the top of the column as highlighted:
Once the edit button is clicked, the column header will change colour and you will know that the column is now in Edit Mode.
Click on any cell in the column and you will be able to edit the data:
Once you have edited you can do one of the following:
- Press ENTER or TAB key to save changes and move to the next cell.
- Press SHIFT+ENTER or SHIFT+TAB to save changes and move to the previous cell.
- Click outside the grid to save changes and stop editing the cell
- Press ESCAPE to cancel the edit without saving changes.
When your changes are saved, you will receive a notification confirming the change has been saved.
When you are finished, click on the pencil again to take the column out of Edit Mode
